Arthur Street Bathroom
One thats been on the to-do list for a while, the main bathroom in our flat! We’ve fancied it getting done up for a while, and the cystern leaking in the night and warping the floor has been the catalyst we’ve been waiting for!

As you can see its not bad but a little sad so we decided to spruce it up
The Plan
Refresh, not rebuild - just putting some modenn bits in and giving it a facelift!
Levelling the floor AKA setback numero uno
Levelling the floor by screwing down some bits that have warped and lifted when they got wet. What do you know, despite my tactic of driling a small hole and using my enmdoscope to find a stud - i missed the stud by about 5mm, and guess what was running down the back of it but a water pipe for the heater! screw straight through it.. worst nightmare!

Heater
The ugly old heater is out - replaced with a towel radiator. this involved lifting the floor, and moving the pipes. Which was needed anyway after the bullseye with the floor screw.

Flooring
Kindly donated some pretty engineered wood oak flooring by Gavin left over from his spare room. went down a dream after the first one which was a bit tricky.

New bits
New loo to match the rustic aesthetic. Some fancy sink gear from Ikea. Mirror cab complete with built in light and anti-fog heater! Back shelf made of a left over piece of flooring and a nice aluminium trim is a touch im particularly happy with.

The results
About 2 weeks later we have a gorgeous new bathroom! about £1200 all in and a couple weeks of my unemployed life that I wont get back!
